My Approach

My work is influenced by my love of photojournalism and black and white documentary photography. It all started at college when I was drawn towards the work of Henri Cartier Bresson and Elliott Erwitt who were able to capture real moments in just one frame. These masters of photography inspired me to shoot with an approach that gives my photographs depth and narrative.

Today I am a wedding photographer and use this documentary approach to capture the essence, joy and beauty of a wedding. Like many of my heroes in photography I work discreetly and unobtrusively which enables me to catch moments naturally.

I appreciate that my style isn’t for everyone; photography is my art and I would never change the way I shoot to gain more business. That said, it is my ultimate goal to give my clients images that they will cherish for many years to come.
